Heater over

Well, my heater is over. I played in 5 small buy in tourneys today and just shallow cashed in the early double A. I got knocked out on this funny hand.

Haha what a rollercoaster!!! I wasn’t too disappointed as we all have taken way worse beats and I wanted to go play the 10/20 live game in town anyway. I was thinking about playing this game most of the nights this week and make a couple grand, but maybe I should reconsider as I lost $400 today. I mixture of bad plays by me and horrible beats, my stack dwindled fairly quickly. I was at an ideal table with the crazy aggressive “gypsy,” as they call this darker skinned guy, on my right and the tight guys on my left. I 3 betted this guy a ton to isolate. But he seemed to have my number today. Just one of the multiple similar examples would be when I three bet him with KJ and we see a K high flop. Turn would be a 6 and he would check raise. He check raised complete bluffs many times before, so I called him down. He turned over K6. Like I said, this was just one example. I am going to take a few days off of live play and then decide whether or not I want to take one last shot at that game before I head back to Nebraska. I am without a doubt positive EV, but I feel too uncomfortable when I get down $100 right away. I should never feel that uncomfortable playing poker. It was a lot easier when I was playing this game and then going home and 4 tabling 20/40 online. The next option down though in Billings is a 3/6 game with one single $2 blind, which I do not like that much. So we’ll see.

After I blew that money, I met up with my buddy Colin. We went to the Montana Fair to meet up with his fiancé and sister. (I am going to be an usher in his wedding next June). I think tonight was a contest to see which girls could dress the skankiest. Last time I went, I was in high school and I just don’t remember it being that dirty. Sadly, I couldn’t look right or left without seeing a pregnant teenager. I noticed a new type of food they were selling…deep fried pepsi. This was just a head scratcher. I came home and googled it and I found this short clip about it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTAOBQmFdNk
What will they come up with next? Maybe something healthy?

USA basketball team put on a decent performance with a 101-70 victory. They still have many flaws, such as 3-point shooting. I saw some of the Spain/Greece game the other day and Spain really scares me. I also saw the most incredible swimming race tonight. We snuck by favored France in the 4X100 freestyle relay. We were down the whole race and the anchor had an unbelieveable last 30 meters or so to win by .08 seconds. I still can’t believe it! Phelps still has a chance at 8 gold medals. Go USA!
